The Chattanooga Venturing Study Group is evolving! Over the last year we focused on learning from Venture. Now we are applying those lessons!

Community Visioning in District 11

What do residents of District 11 want to see in their area? What do they want for the future? Commissioner Montrell Besley is sponsoring a community visioning process in 2027 to hear from his constituents.

We need a diverse group of advisors from across the district and a small steering committee as well as a few facilitators. Can you help? Fill out our interest form! Do you live in District 11 and willing to participate? Be sure to mention that!

Chattanooga Venturing Podcast

The Chattanooga Venturing dialogues are evolving into a podcast, which we will be producing in partnership with Redbud Venue. Each episode will feature guests from across our community addressing issues that impact us all.

What issues would you like us to address? Who should we engage? Reply to this message with your suggestions! Support the podcast and get attendance at any or all sessions in 2027.

Community Venturing White Paper

Chattanooga Venture not only transformed our community, it provided a simple, powerful model for inclusive, positive, sustainable change. We need it now more than ever!

While we don't face the blatant degradation of the 1970s, our challenges are just as real and arguably more critical: degraded infrastructure, economic exclusion, social fragmentation, threats to our liberties and livelihoods. Community venturing is the way to create opportunities and real, local solution.

The process is not complex but it can be challenging. Our new white paper will cut through the lore, distill insights from the Chattanooga Venturing Study Group, provide a practical guide, and reveal the critical success factors. Subscribe to the "Making the Connection" Substack to stay informed!
